James Cassidy is a professional educator and researcher with a broad range of interests and experience.

Cassidy holds an Undergraduate Degree (BA) in Communications with an emphasis on intrapersonal communications and media production; a Graduate Degree in Studio Art (MA) with a concentration in photography and sculpture; and a Graduate Degree in Fine Art and Design (MFA). He also holds an Advanced Certificate in Homeland Security Management and has completed class work that will lead to a Graduate Degree in Homeland Security Management (MS). He has also completed IS100 and IS700b and holds an eight hour in Practice Certificate in Psychological First Aid as administered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As a professional photographer, Cassidy has photographed  a wide variety of subject matter literally spanning the range from bedspreads to missile parts.

As an educator, Cassidy has over thirty years of college and university level teaching experience, which includes teaching all levels of photography, basic blacksmithing, and portfolio development.  He was a principal educator on the ‘Unseen America’ immigrant photography project and helped create the national curriculum associated with the program.

Drawing from conventional as well as digital resources, Cassidy is an excellent open source researcher including but not limited to art, fine art, crafts, current events, American history, world history, military history, and related subjects.
